Digital Printing
Digital printing is different to the traditional litho of off-set printing. We make digital prints on what really is a giant photocopyer. Of course, we can do many different things on our Richoh machine, but in essence we need the artwork to be correct, and supplied to us in CMYK format.

There are thousands of digital printing services and as an industry, we are a good bunch. The digital printing services industry is challenging. The threats of digital have had an enormous impact on the entire print industry, and this has been witnessed with the number of large printers who have gone out of business, not only on the Gold Coast, but all over the country.
Spam and email
With the advent of many email programs where in one click, thousands of emails can be sent to a huge audience has largely killed the use of mass produced digital printing services in letterbox drops. In our street, of 14 homes, 11 have “no junk mail” notices on the letter boxes. This has all but destroyed the market for letterbox drops, which was for a long time a big area of printing services requirements. Most mail that goes into letterboxes now goes directly into the dustbin, and is not read by anyone, so it is just a waste of time effort and energy.
I actively dissuade my clients from doing large letterbox drops, unless it makes sense to do so, (Sold in your street flyers for real estate agents works well – as an example)
Our sweet spot
Most large companies have long established relationships with the larger print businesses, some of whom have been around for many years. These companies are however creaking, as their older technologies, huge overheads and the inability to change have contributed to their downfall. Our sweet spot is to be nimble and to be able to treat small jobs from individuals with as much care and enthusiasm as very large work from our corporate customers.

See who comes back to you first, is the most helpful with your project and who, despite the short run request, treats you as if you are the most important client they have had all day…
