Frequently Asked Questions

Great question — and the honest answer is: pretty fast! For most of our digital printing products, we offer a next business day turnaround (Monday to Friday (which means Monday)), provided we receive your print-ready artwork and proof of payment before midday.

Turn around times will vary depending on how many, what size, finishes etc.

For larger offset print runs, turnaround times are a little longer, but chat to us, and we’ll work out how long your job will take,  so you can plan accordingly.

Need something urgently? Give us a call on 0421 840 465 and we’ll do everything we can to help get your job done on time. We love a challenge!

Good question! The short answer is PDF, and here’s why — a PDF locks in your fonts, colours and layout so what we print is exactly what you designed.

If you can’t supply a PDF, give us a call on 0421 840 465 so we can advise you what to do. We’re a little less keen on Word or Publisher files as they can shift around when we open them, but again, give us a call and we’ll work something out.

Not sure if your file is print ready? Just send it through to guy@goldcoastprinters.net.au and we’ll take a look and let you know. We’d rather check it first than have you disappointed with the result!

Yes we do! We have a daily delivery service to Brisbane, so if we get your job done before 12, we’ll give it to our courier service and they will deliver to you the next day.  We can deliver anywhere in Australia.

If you’re on the Gold Coast, we can generally get point to point deliveries done on the same day. If you have to have something picked up super urgently, it is best to use UBER, but you must be sure to give the Uber driver very specific instructions on what to pick up.We’re based in Southport, and are happy to leave your work outside for you to come and collect, and have no fear, in 12 years, we’ve never had anyone steal your work.

For large events at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, we’ll often personally deliver to make sure your materials get to the right place on time — just make sure you give us a bay number and a contact name on the ground, it’s a big place! If you are staying at a hotel in Surfers, and your job is not to large, it is better to deliver to your hotel, care of the concierge. Just make sure we have the correct details of who will be collecting the work, and their contact number. It is also a good idea to call the concierge and let them know you are going to have a package delivered.

Give us a call on 0421 840 465 to discuss delivery options for your job.

Great news — we don’t really have a minimum order quantity! That’s one of the big advantages of digital printing. Whether you need 1 business card or 10,000 flyers, we can help.

That said, keep in mind that unit costs are higher on very small runs — so 10 business cards will cost much more per card than 250.

We do have minimum order values, which varies depending on the type of job you have.

Give us a call on 0421 840 465 and we’ll give you an honest quote so you can decide what works best for your budget.

Not sure how many you need? We’re happy to talk it through with you — we’ve been doing this for 12 years and we’ll give you our honest advice, even if that means telling you to order less!

Absolutely! We offer graphic design services and can help you create print-ready artwork from scratch or tidy up an existing file. Just get in touch, and we can discuss what you need.

Gloss laminate gives your print a shiny, vibrant finish that makes colours pop — great for promotional materials and flyers. Matte laminate has a smooth, non-reflective finish that looks more sophisticated and is easier to write on. Not sure which to choose? Give us a call, and we’ll help you decide.

It depends on the size of the print. Phone photos can work well for smaller prints, but for larger formats like posters or signage, the resolution may not be high enough and the result can look blurry. If you are going to be taking a picture to print, set your camera on your phone to its highest setting. Send us your file and we’ll let you know if it’s suitable before we print.

Bleed is a small border of extra artwork that extends beyond the edge of your finished print. It ensures that when the paper is trimmed, there are no white edges showing. We recommend 3mm of bleed on all sides for most print jobs. If you’re unsure how to set this up, we’re happy to help.

es, in many cases we can! Same-day printing is available for a range of products depending on the job size and our current workload. Call us on 0421 840 465 as early as possible to check availability and we’ll do our best to get it done for you.

For large format printing such as banners, signage and posters, we prefer a high resolution PDF or a vector file such as AI or EPS. This ensures your artwork stays sharp and crisp no matter how large we print it.

Yes! Corflute signs are one of our specialities. We print single and double-sided corflute in a range of sizes, perfect for real estate, events, construction sites and general business signage. We can get these done fast! Contact us for a quote.

For standard printing we recommend a minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the final print size. For large format printing viewed from a distance, a lower resolution can be acceptable. If you’re unsure, send us your file and we’ll check it for you before printing.

We do our best to match your brand colours as closely as possible. For the most accurate results, provide us with CMYK colour values rather than RGB. Please note that colours can vary slightly between screen and print due to the nature of digital displays.

Yes, we are based on the Gold Coast and are centrally based in Southport. We welcome customers to come in and discuss their printing needs in person, but we are generally able to solve most of your problems on the phone. Give us a call on 0421 840 465 or email guy@goldcoastprinters.net.au to arrange a time.

The easiest way is to use our artwork upload page on the website. You can also email smaller files directly to guy@goldcoastprinters.net.au. For very large files, we can provide a file sharing link — just get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
