How Big is A2 – Brisbane
Many of our customers want to know how big is A2. To see how big A2 is, get 4 pieces of A4 paper from your photo copy machine, and do the following…
Lay two of them side by side – this is A3.
Now lay another two of them adjacent to the two short ends, you now have a rectangle, which is A2 – Tadaa!! If you want to proceed to the next standard size which is A1, lay another 4 pieces to mirror the first 4 pieces along the long edge… (did that make any sense at all?) you now have A1.
A2 is – 594 x 420 mm
Size | Width x Height (mm) | Width x Height (in) |
---|---|---|
A0 | 841 x 1189 mm | 33.1 x 46.8 in |
A1 | 594 x 841 mm | 23.4 x 33.1 in |
A2 | 420 x 594 mm | 16.5 x 23.4 in |

We can print A2 Posters on many different types of stock. The most common is 220gsm Gloss or matte stock. If you are going to use gloss stock, we like to print them and keep them to dry overnight, which allows the ink to cure properly. This is not as important on matte stock, as the paper “sucks in” the ink, and there is less likelihood of it smudging.
If you are going to roll your poster, it is a good idea to print it on our polypropelyn material, which rolls up easily, and does not have any ‘memory’, so when you unroll it at your destination, it will stay flat.
If you want to have a look at almost all paper sizes, nip over to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_size there is an excellent article on different pages sizes.
